The size measurements in the descriptions do not include the pendant bail at the top. For earrings the size does not include the earring fitting. For charms the size does not include the ring or clip on the top.

The relative size of items portrayed in the photographs may be larger or smaller than actual size as we have tried to show you as much detail of the product as possible. All items have the sizes in the description to enable you to determine the correct size of an item. The sizes detailed for products are as close as we can get, but may vary marginally from piece to piece as the items are most items are hand made.

Rings are not available in all finger sizes. Generally we stock the 4 most popular sizes for each style. In most cases the finger size is detailed in the product description. If a ring does not have a finger size it means we have a mixture of sizes. If you wish to purchase a ring which does not have a size stated in the description, please email us first to check availability before placing your online order or contact your local store for details. We use the British Standard finger size (A-Z) see the finger size chart for comparison.

Butterfly Silver do not provide a piercing service. We do however, provide a large range of body jewellery once you have been pierced. Always use a professional and reputable piercer for best results.

None of our body jewellery is made from Base Metal or "Fashion" metal. These metals are normally brass, pewter, copper and numerous others which are then plated with another metal such as Rhodium. These "Fashion" metals do not offer long lasting hypoallergenic properties and can break down easily and cause infection.

Our jewellery is Nickel Free.

The only metals we use in our body jewellery are surgical steel, sterling silver or Titanium. These are clearly marked in our product descriptions.
